Contact the faculty student administration office as soon as possible via the Helpdesk: Submit a ticket.
Every student who would like to reschedule an exam must report his or her absence due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. force majeure) on the day of the exam or, should the exam take place on a Saturday, the following working day. Any supporting documents that substantiate the absence due to extenuating circumstances must be delivered to the faculty student administration office on the day of the exam or the following working day at the latest. These documents may be delivered by anybody in person or by mail to the student administration office, room V.001, Venusstraat 23, 2000 Antwerp, or as an attachment via the Helpdesk (Faculty Board decision, 27 March 2014).
If you send the scanned document(s) via the Helpdesk, you need not submit the original(s).
A 'dixit certificate' or a 'post factum certificate' from a doctor is not valid as supporting evidence for extenuating circumstances (a dixit certificate merely reports the student's testimony and is not an official diagnosis; a post factum certificate is issued after an illness or when the medical consequences of an accident are no longer apparent).
Once the faculty student administration office has ascertained the extenuating circumstances and has received the required documents, you will be given (if possible) another date on which you can attend the exam (art. 14.2 Education and Examination Regulations) via your university mail address.
Only the faculty student administration office is authorised to modify your exam arrangement; they will contact the relevant lecturers. So please do not harass your lecturers with your predicament: they will only send you on to the faculty student administration office.
You can find the latest Exam Resit Regulations on Blackboard.
