Should you have been unable to attend one or more exams due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. force majeure) and a rescheduling of the exams was also not possible, then you can have the learning credit you lost reimbursed only by contacting the Council for Disputes over Study Progress Decisions ('Raad voor Betwistingen inzake Studievoortgangsbeslissingen'). More details are provided on the university website.
Step 1Wait until the re-examination period has elapsed before requesting the reimbursement of your learning credit. After all, theoretically you could still sit an exam during this period.
Step 2The fact that the re-examination period has elapsed is sufficient proof of the impossibility of an adapted examination schedule.
Step 3You must submit your request for learning credit reimbursement via registered mail to the Council for Disputes over Study Progress Decisions. For more information (in Dutch), go to this government website. This request is a letter in which you explain which courses are eligible for learning credit reimbursement. You must add any pieces of evidence that indicate clearly that you were unable to attend certain exams (official list of grades from the SisA self-service, medical files with precise dates or periods of illness, or other circumstances).
Step 4The Council for Disputes over Study Progress Decisions will contact you concerning the subsequent procedure.
