Without an official certificate (e.g. from a doctor), it is possible to reschedule an exam only by finding another student who is willing and able to exchange (i.e. swap) it with you. Feel free to take a look at the following question: How do I exchange an exam?
With an official certificate due to illness, death of a loved one, birth or work, you should contact the faculty student administration office. You can send the certificate via the Helpdesk at the latest one day after your exam takes place. The faculty student administration office will then notify the lecturer of (reasons for) your absence and will arrange, if possible, a rescheduled exam. You can find the Exam Resit Regulations on Blackboard (Faculty Student Administration > Exams > Regulations) or as an attachment to this article. Do not contact your lecturers about rescheduling your exam: they will only send you on to the faculty student administration office.
You must hand in the certificate to the faculty student administration office no later than the last day of the exam period.

In case of extenuating circumstances (e.g. force majeure), you should contact the ombudsperson for the Master of Laws programme: How can I reach the ombudsperson?
