Law-Timetable: How do I know which lecture I am to attend?

Solution

As a student you can retrieve your personal timetables per week or per course from your SisA Selfservice. The location of your lectures will be mentioned for each course. Changes in lecture halls or lecture times will be automatically implemented in these timetables.

All of the lectures listed on your personal timetable must be attended. If it concerns practicals or seminars, only your private group will be shown (e.g. SW04 = group 4), of which you must attend all lectures.

Make sure you verify your timetables for both semesters at the beginning of the academic year! As a student you should always consult the timetables on SisA.

Prospective students can consult model timetables on the university website. Your timetables will list the following items for each year and semester:

  • The academic week in which the lecture takes place (e.g. week 2, 4 or 6). A list of the academic week numbering can be found on Blackboard and SisA (academic calendar)
  • The day on which the lecture takes place (e.g. Monday)
  • The start and end time of the lecture (e.g. 8:30 until 10:30)
  • The course name (e.g. Private International Law)
  • The particular group for which this lecture is organised. You are only required to attend lectures intended for your group. You can only see which group you are a part of during registration or on your timetable in SisA (e.g. group 23). In case you cannot see any remarks, then the lecture is intended for all students who have registered for this course.
  • Attention: don’t forget to consult the 'remarks' section on the university website.
