Visa: Information about the bank guarantee to demonstrate solvency

One of the possibilities accepted by the Belgian government to proof your solvency is using a bank guarantee which you can obtain online using Studely (see guide in attachment) or Ready Study Go International.

Using a company such as Studely or Ready Study Go International has many advantages:

• You are in full control of your blocked account.
• The amount you have to deposit is the required minimum and is always correct.
• You will get quick access to your bank guarantee (AVI) to start your visa application.
• After arrival in Belgium, you wil have fast access to the reimbursement from your blocked account. This is important because living and/or study expenses in the first months after arriving in Belgium will be high.

Bank guarantees from Studely and Ready Study Go International are accepted by the Belgian Immigration Office in the framework of visa applications.

Important:
Please note that the university cannot answer any questions regarding the use of a bank guarantee or the services the companies offer. The university does not have to verify or approve the bank guarantee in any way. Please always contact the organisation which supplies the bank guarantee.
The university cannot be held responsible for any breach of their obligations towards the student.

Blocked accounts are not offered by the registrar's office to degree students.
