If you are unable to participate in one or more exams because of force majeure (e.g. illness, accident, death of a family member, …) you should:1. immediately (before the start of the exam) report this to the examiner (through e-mail).2. To be considered as legally excused, you will then have to provide a valid certificate confirming the reason for non-participation. A medical certificate is accepted provided it was written by a medical doctor on the day of illness or accident. A certificate in which only the statement of the student is mentioned (dixit-certificate) or a certificate that was written after the illness (post-factum certificate) is not accepted as a valid certificate.3. Submit this certificate as soon as possible and at the latest 3 working days after your exam. A clear scan of this document is sufficient. Upload this document online.4. Please also mention if you would like to apply for a catch-up exam. However, this is not always possible and is considered a favour to the student. After submitting your certificate the Faculty Student Administration will contact the examiner to ascertain whether you are able to take the exam on a different date during this examination period.
