What is my grade of merit?

Oplossing

The faculty of social sciences follows the rules in accordance with the Examination and Education Regulation  (Article 17.2).

You can find the document here:

https://www.uantwerpen.be/en/study/student-services-advice/study-choice-guidance/rules-regulations/education-examination-regulation/

The grade of merit (for Bachelor's or Master's degree programmes only) is mentioned on your diploma:

  • satisfaction: final total between 50 and 67 out of 100
  • distinction: final total between 68 and 76 out of 100
  • great distinction: final total between 77 and 84 out of 100
  • greatest distinction: final total of 85 or more out of 100

Students in a bridging or preparatory program only receive pass/fail.

Students with more than 50% of exemptions receive a pass without degree or receive a fail.

The end result is a weighted average.
